About the Author: Originally from Croydon, Sheila Collins lives in Cornwall with her cat, Truffles. Since taking early retirement from her career as a PA/Secretary, Sheila has found the time to realise her ambitions as a writer and has penned two highly successful humorous books, Truffles’ Diary and Truffles’ Diary: One Year On (also published by Apex Publishing Ltd), looking at life from her cat’s own unique perspective. Her latest book in this series, Truffles’ Diary: The Encore, continues to embrace the theme of a cat’s observations whilst living in a human environment.

Anyone who has owned an ageing, fat, spoiled cat will immediately recognise the one in this book. Truffles is confident in her human slaves, snoozing on the sun warmed patio of her Cornish home and reminiscing about past events.
Those of who you have read the other collections of these feline memoirs - Truffles’ Diary and Truffles’ Diary: One Year On - will recognise some of the cast of four legged creatures but there are some new additions in the shape of several new kittens next door.
My own cats, Pugwash the Second and Arbuthnot would just love this book. What a pity they can't read - or then again perhaps not. They might learn too much about controlling humans!

I read the book on a long train journey and it made the time fly by. Truffles the cat is the ideal companion if you want to forget about rail delays, missed connections and cancelled services! I also enjoyed the little illustrations, particularly Tansy's terror dive into the trifle!
