About the Author:
Andy Groom was born in 1978. Encouraged by his family, Andy played football from an early age and, as a Stoke City ‘School Boy’, was coached by the legendry Alan Ball for a session. Andy accompanied his mum and dad to watch Everton play through good times and bad, making the journey to Goodison and beyond over the years, to witness the team’s triumphs and disappointments.
As a lifelong Everton fan, Andy has drawn more than 20 pictures of his favourite players and has now put this drawing ability to good use in researching and writing his own illustrated book Everton’s Magnificent Mid-Eighties.
