-- Reviews by the Famous and well Known
An unusual little story which will enthuse the imagination of younger readers.
Sheila Collins, Author of 'Truffles' Diary' & 'Truffles' Diary: One Year On'
~
This charming little story is written with great imagination. I easily lost myself in Jack's crystal ball world and could imagine looking up at the sky and seeing faces staring down at me. Fantastic!
Adam Pearson, Author of 'The Diary of an Unwilling Virgin' & 'The Official Southampton Quiz Book'
~
A lovely little book. The author has a naive style that captivates. At only twenty two pages, it's over far to soon. A good read for old and young alike.
Robert Auty, Author of 'Trance Warriors: The Siege of Scarn'

It is a sweet story. A grand little work.

THE BIRD BOY
Christian Market Place Magazine
~
This is a story about a boy who wants to fly, but that’s about as superficial a review as you could get. Underneath, Amartey has gently teased at questions that everyone has to confront as a youngster.
Read this book for what it really is and you’ll realise that what you have in your hands is a testimony to hope and self-belief; the message of THE BIRD BOY is that you can do anything if you really try.
Amartey was raised in Ghana, spent time in Senegal and now lives in the UK. Maybe this helped her to write a book which crosses all cultural boundaries. Young people, particularly those who are just becoming as little cynical around the edges as they approach their teen years, should read this book.
