-- Reviews by the Famous and well Known
I read this straight after S.N.O.T. and finished in no time. A great sequel and a superb read for children and adults alike. Well done Nichol.

RAGNORF'S REVENGE

First there was S.N.O.T, then here was Son of S.N.O.T, or rather Ragnorf’s Revenge. In the sequel to S.N.O.T. our wannabe wizard Jebediah Humphries finds that his card’s been well and truly marked by Ragnorf the head of the Gnome Mafia.
In S.N.O.T. Humphries saw Ragnorf “banged up” to use prison parlance. Now Ragnorf has escaped and has Jebediah, the world’s most hapless wizard, in his sights. Revenge is a dish best served…..well, that would be telling.
If you liked S.N.O.T you’ll love Ragnorf’s Revenge. It’s a riot of spooky mayhem. Williams has developed her characters well and this her second novel doesn’t suffer from the “second book boredom” that afflicts so many sequels.
Williams has cleverly taken into account that the fans of S.N.O.T will have grown a little too. Ragnorf’s Revenge is S.N.O.T. with the edges smoothed down, but just as funny. Enjoy.

-- Readers Comments
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and did not want to put it down until I had finished it, as I was really wanting to know the outcome. It was as good as "S.N.O.T.", as I enjoyed that book too.

This, the follow on to S.N.O.T., finds jebediah being hunted by Ragnorf, head of the Gnome Mafia, who is hell-bent on getting his revenge. Having read S.N.O.T. and finding it a fine attempt for a new author, I was eager to read the sequel. I found the story line entertaining and funny. The style of Nichol's writing is easy to follow and uncluttered. I think it's a worthwhile read and provides a fitting end to the adventures of Jebediah and his band of hopeless friends.

One cannot help but compare this book to the successful Harry Potter series but JK Rowling. Although it is as easy to get engrossed in the story of Jebediah Humphries, this is however, quite a good parallel alternative for any and readers who enjoy fiction about wizards and anything magical.
